Venesa focuses on designing buildings that are socially relevant and environmentally sound. She has been involved in Dattner Architects’ sustainability initiatives as a member of the Sustainable Practice Group and as a leader of LEED study groups. An advocate for sustainability, she firmly believes in Social Economic Environmental Design and passionately encourages community engagement through design practices. Venesa explores new sustainable technologies and how they can translate into future designs. These interests converge in architecture and public policy where good design, both sustainable and socially conscious, can influence urban development.
A registered architect in New York, Venesa joined Dattner Architects in 2007. She earned her Bachelor of Architecture from City College of New York. She is a LEED Accredited Professional, a member of the National Organization of Minority Architects, and actively involved with the American Institute of Architects, she is currently on the AIANY Board as Alternate Director for Professional Development.
