Marketing Director

We are seeking a creative, motivated, and highly collaborative individual to join our firm and lead our Marketing Team. The Marketing Director is responsible for overseeing the Marketing Department, which includes business development, marketing, communications, and PR. Working closely with the managing principal and firm leadership, the candidate will develop firm-wide and sector specific marketing strategy and tactics. The Marketing Director will direct and participate in the development of marketing materials including proposals, award submissions, presentations, and social media. The Marketing Director is an integral leadership role, we are seeking a candidate who thinks strategically and enjoys being hands-on and working in a team-based environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage the Marketing Department, coordinating the firm’s business development, marketing, and communications efforts
  • Manage the Marketing Team
  • Collaborate with sector leaders in pursuit strategy and planning
  • Develop and oversee marketing budget
  • Write, edit and review firm-wide, sector-focused, and initiative-specific marketing materials
  • Work closely with principals, senior staff, and other marketing team members to develop and produce proposals, presentations, award submissions, and other marketing and communications initiatives
  • Manage multiple marketing initiatives within a high-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Identify and track new project, award, and speaking opportunities
  • Developing new materials as needed to support marketing goals
  • Maintain resources and information systems including Deltek and Open Asset Databases as well as the firm’s archives
  • Represent the firm, our portfolio, and our values externally through involvement in industry events
Qualified candidates will have:
  • 10-15 years of professional experience in a marketing position with a design or professional services firm
  • Bachelor's degree (in Architecture, Design, or Communications preferred)
  • Experience managing staff, consultants, and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong graphic communication and design skills
  • Ability to create effective presentations and marketing collateral
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and intra-personal skills, and a great collaborator
  • Ability to work with diverse project teams and in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Deltek Vision is a plus
