Vital Brookdale: Finalist for ULI Award for Excellence in Affordable Housing Development

Dattner Architects’ Vital Brookdale has been selected as a finalist for the 2023 ULI NY Award for Excellence in Affordable Housing Development. This award recognizes exemplary developments that demonstrate creativity in expanding housing opportunities for New Yorkers.

An exceptional model of affordable Passive House and community-based housing, Vital Brookdale brings 160 units of affordable housing and 25,000 square feet of health-focused community space to the Brownsville neighborhood of Brooklyn. The development includes amenities for high-quality living for residents with a wide range of affordable incomes, and an outpatient medical space associated with the adjacent Brookdale Hospital, which will provide resources to support the larger community.

The development was selected as a finalist from a broad mix of outstanding projects from many of the most prominent firms in the real estate industry. Winners will be announced on October 18, 2023, at ULI New York’s Awards for Excellence gala.
