Inés Yupanqui

Inés Yupanqui is an advocate for advancing sustainable and equitable spaces that strengthen communities. She grew up in Colombia, where the endless natural resources and vast biodiversity coexists with spontaneous urban growth and self-built constructions. This background has shaped the way she understands and practices architecture. A passionate collaborator, Inés is a mentor in the Architectural League mentorship program, has co-taught design studios at Columbia University GSAPP, and was part of the LatinGSAPP board that founded “Patio”—an academic editorial platform focused on issues of the Latin American community and its built environment.

Inés holds a Bachelor in Architecture from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia and a Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University GSAPP.
