Niriksha Shetty is dedicated to investigating the complex interplay between political and ecological processes in the context of human-environmental interactions. She believes an architect’s role is to operate in the multiplicities of the built environment and develop design solutions that are grounded in those realities. Her work has centered on a continuous pursuit of ‘rewiring / renegotiating agency’ through the medium of design. Niriksha has experience in precise, tectonic designs at multiple scales–objects and pavilions to residential and institutional buildings–and experimental architecture with a focus on the processes of building, materiality, and the politics of space.
Niriksha holds a Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Architecture from Manipal School of Architecture & Planning.
