Stretching from 26th to 59th Streets, Segments 6 and 7 of the Hudson River Park include a variety of active and passive recreation spaces, hard and soft landscapes, and upland and pier environments. Boathouses at Pier 66, 84, and 96 serve the Park’s educational, recreational, and retail programs. A common vocabulary was developed for these structures, which was varied to suit each particular site and program. These small, naturally-ventilated structures are designed to open to both the park and the river, two front doors. We developed in the design in association with MKW + Associates LLC, landscape architects.
