The replacement and upgrade of the PATH Harrison Station will serve as a catalyst for further development of the surrounding area. It will provide the community with a fully accessible, elegantly designed high performance station and a public space. While contributing to the City of Harrison’s visual identity, the project will bring the station up to current codes and increase its capacity to meet anticipated growth in ridership. Currently in construction, four new station houses will significantly enhance public access to the new elevated platforms in anticipation of the 10-car PATH expansion program. The platforms will feature glass and steel roof canopies to protect passengers from inclement weather and sun. The BIM-designed project is being designed to PANYNJ Sustainable Building Guidelines (SBG), LEED Silver equivalent, and is being designed to respond to new FEMA projections for flood elevation. PATH Harrison Station is a joint venture with WSP.
