A result of partnership between the NYC Housing Authority (NYCHA), NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development, and a private development team, this new development helps knit together the urban context of this growing East New York neighborhood, offering affordable rental opportunities for local residents. The site is located on a former parking lot surrounded by high-rise NYCHA developments in the East New York neighborhood of Brooklyn. Providing 240 affordable apartments across seven low- and mid-rise buildings, the development’s green spaces and intimate private streets, lined with mature trees, create a safe and welcoming atmosphere for residents.

The contemporary design incorporates a variety of materials and colors, while large windows brighten living spaces with abundant natural light. Each residential building’s glazed stair core extends vertically up the building’s façade, animating the streetscape, and providing visual connectivity between the development and the neighborhood.

Sustainable elements conserve energy, reduce environmental impacts, and promote a healthy environment for residents, while also using durable, low maintenance building systems and materials.
