Project Architect: Housing, Construction Administration

We are seeking a Project Architect to join our housing practice. The Project Architect will work as key part of design team during construction for a high-profile, urban housing development in New York City. Construction Administration experience on high-rise residential projects is vital.

Qualified candidates will have:
  • Bachelor or Master of Architecture
  • 8-15 years' relevant professional experience
  • NYC construction administration experience
  • Able to communicate effectively and clearly with contractors in the field
  • Able to contribute to all phases of construction administration, including shop drawing review, RFIs, etc.
  • Strong design, production and technical skills
  • Focused, articulate, well organized, and detail-oriented
  • Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD; familiarity with other 3D software
  • Knowledge of NYC Building code and NYC Zoning Regulations
  • NYS Architectural Registration preferred

Project Designer / Project Architect – Interiors

We are currently seeking a capable, intermediate level Project Designer / Project Architect to join our growing interiors group. The selected candidate will work as a key part of a design team on all phases of project development (from planning and concept through design, FF+E selection and construction documents) for high-profile residential, cultural, education, and healthcare interiors projects.

Qualified candidates will have:
  • Bachelor or Master of Architecture, Interior Design or Interior Architecture
  • 5-8 years’ relevant professional experience working on high profile interior architecture projects
  • Experience with furniture specification and working with furniture dealers is required. Contract furniture experience is preferred.
  • Experience with materials selection, specification and detailing
  • Strong aesthetic sense and design sensibility
  • Familiarity with architectural and interior details, finish materials and furnishings
  • Capable of working well with architecture teams
  • Outstanding graphic, 3D presentation, production and technical skills
  • Focused, articulate, well organized, and detail – oriented
  • Proficiency with Revit; familiarity with other 3D software and Adobe Design Suite
  • Familiarity with NYC Building code as applied to interior architecture
  • NYS Architectural Registration or NCIDQ preferred

Project Architects – All Studio Groups

We are seeking experienced Project Architects to join each of the studios at our growing firm.  The candidates will work as key members of project teams for developments – both public and private – in the New York area.  We are looking for burgeoning leaders ready to take on significant portions of responsibility and ownership over project components.

Qualified candidates will have:
  • Bachelor or Master of Architecture
  • 6-10 years' professional experience
  • NYS Architectural Registration preferred
  • Proficiency with Revit required
  • Strong design and technical skills
  • Strong graphic and 3D presentation skills
  • Focused, articulate, well-organized and design-minded
  • Functional knowledge of at least 2 of the following: AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, 3d Studio Max, Rhino, Form Z
  • Able to take a project from concept through Construction Administration
  • Authorization to work in the US

Intermediate Architects – All Studio Groups

We are seeking experienced, design-minded intermediate architects to join our growing firm.  The candidates will work as key members of the project teams during all phases, from concept presentations and design development through construction documents and administration for public and private projects in the New York area.  Of the practice areas we are hiring for at this moment – experience in and a passion for – healthcare facilities, affordable housing and public spaces/urban design are in the highest demand.

Qualified candidates will have:
  • Bachelor or Master of Architecture
  • 3-5 years' professional experience
  • Proficiency with Revit
  • Outstanding design and technical skills
  • Strong graphic and 3D presentation skills
  • Articulate, organized and able to work well within a team
  • Functional knowledge of at least 2 of the following: AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, 3d Studio Max, Rhino, Form Z

Entry Level Designer

We are seeking a full-time entry-level designer to produce models and high quality, cutting edge graphic presentations, and assist with design and construction documents for public sector projects. The elected candidate may be assigned to work on various phases of project development and may also support specific marketing initiatives.  A willingness to participate in a wide range of tasks is critical to success.

Qualified candidates will have:
  • Bachelor or Master of Architecture
  • 0 to 1 years of relevant professional experience
  • Outstanding graphic and 3D presentation skills
  • Model making: wood, metal, plastic, paper (laser cutter and traditional construction)
  • Proficiency in Revit required
  • Functional knowledge of at least 2 of the following: AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, 3d Studio Max, Form Z, Rhinoceros, InDesign
  • Ability to juggle multiple assignments
  • Focused, well organized, detail-oriented and design-minded
  • Authorization to work in the US
