Originally raised and educated out West, where space and fresh air are abundant — Patrick McAffrey moved to New York City to participate in the design and construction of the urban, public realm. A passion for intelligent urbanism has led Patrick to focus his work on infrastructure and transportation projects, which he believes have profound impacts on the building fabric and urban lifestyles they support.
His formal training in both architecture and product design has allowed him to better understand how finished projects at all scales can affect and influence end users. This training and understanding have influenced not only his design of large-scale infrastructure projects, but also smaller design exercises and extracurricular pursuits within the office.
Patrick holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Oregon.
