On August 13, 2025 Catherine Selby and Luis Morales from Dattner Architects’ federal design team joined a distinguished lineup of leaders at the DeCarbNY Summit, dedicated to accelerating industrial decarbonization across New York and beyond.
Catherine and Luis showcased a high-rise deep energy retrofit case study, presenting findings and approach along side collaborators including JB&B’s Deep Carbon Reduction Leader Joelle Jahn and Mary Beth Bigelow of Consigli Construction. The panel delved into building electrification strategies for a landmark federal office building in Lower Manhattan.
Catherine emphasized the critical need for collaboration across design, engineering, and policy to shape a low-carbon future for our existing building stock.
