Two Dattner Architects projects will open their doors to the public during Open House New York Weekend this October.
Each year, Open House New York Weekend offers access to more than 300 sites across New York City, inviting visitors to explore the city’s architecture, design, culture, and infrastructure through tours, talks, and other programs.
This year, visitors can explore two projects designed by Dattner Architects:
DSNY Brooklyn District 3 Garage and Offices October 18, 2026 | Session 1: 10–11 AM | Session 2: 11:30 AM–12:30 PM
Step inside a state-of-the-art sanitation facility and learn how its design supports 24/7 operations, staff well-being, and community engagement. Visitors can also explore sustainability features including a green roof and solar canopy.
Explore the groundbreaking design of Adventure Playground with its original architect, Richard Dattner. He will share insights into the playground’s innovative features, creative philosophy, and lasting influence on the design of play spaces around the world.
